ACN registration

At ACN, the registration of shippers and airfreight companies replaces the declaration per shipment with a one-off, annual declaration and a tick on the transport document. The Aviation Act stipulates that each airfreight cargo must be accompanied by a safety declaration from the shipper plus a safety declaration from the agent. This has been incorporated in the registration form of the Royal Netherlands Military Constabulary (KMar). Following the approval from the Ministry for Justice and consultations with the Dutch Association of Transport Users and Transport on Own Account (EVO), ACN (formerly ATAN) set up an Internet system, whereby these shipment-specific declarations are replaced with a one-off annual declaration and the insertion or ticking or a special text on the transport documents.
