The superstructure of High Cube Reefer containers is approximately 30 cm higher than that of standard 40Ft RE containers, making it possible to load more goods, while the seaborne freight is often equal to that of a standard 40Ft RE container. Shipping companies often do not have 40Ft RE containers in addition to this type, in view of the high purchase price of these units.
