Korean kicks off new freighter service

On 14 May, Korean Air began a freighter service to Navoi (Uzbekistan), a newly-developed location for the airline’s network.
Navoi has a new cargo terminal and facility, which includes refrigeration, cooler room, and warm room. The 747-400F service will connect Miami and New York (both US) to Brussels (Belgium) and Navoi.
Trucking service is also available beyond Navoi to major cities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Twelve weekly 747-400Fs to/and from Incheon (South Korea), Brussels and Milan (Italy) stop over at Navoi airport. In addition, Korean provides main-deck capacities with the A300 freighter from Navoi to Bangladesh, Dubai, Germany, India, Turkey and the US.
Combined with A300 freighter service from Navoi, the new freighter operation will offer more options to the US customers looking for main-deck cargo capacities to Europe, the Middle East, India, and central Asia.
In related news, Korean has taken delivery of its first A380.
