Tecon Santos registers record productivity

The month of March was positive for Tecon Santos, Brazil managed by Santos. This is because the terminal recorded two records for productivity: 60.71 moves (loading or unloading of a container) per hour of cumulative average in the month and 23.94 per vessel movements per hour per crane.

Investments in staff training and advanced technology are the reasons to justify the company trademarks. One of the highlights are of type Double portainers Hoist, which are operated terminal in the company. Designed to operate the largest vessels in the world, operating simultaneously up to two 40-foot containers filled with 20 feet or four.

Tecon Santos now has 13 cranes, six of type Double Hoist. In addition, Santos Brazil recently purchased 30 trailers (terminal tractors) capable of pulling two full containers at once and should arrive in May this year. (Fonte: Guia Marítimo)
