'Hanjin Spain' – Latest 10,000TEU vessel hits the water

Hanjin Shipping has received the 10,000TEU ‘Hanjin Spain’, the fourth in a series of five 10,000TEU-class ships, from Samsung Heavy Industries. The company said the vessel would be deployed on the Asia-Europe trade soon after delivery.

The remaining vessel in the series is scheduled for delivery later this year.

The 118,000DWT vessels are 349 metres long by 45.6 metres wide. The 69,000kW main engine provides for a speed of 25.1 knots. (source: Baird)
