Loading embargo for Iranian vessels in Antwerp Port

There is an immediate loading embargo on Iranian vessels in the port of Antwerp. This was agreed through a consultative meeting, Alfa Port of Antwerp, the FPS Foreign Affairs, the Customs and the Flemish Region

With this measure is already anticipated on the new EU Regulation that will be published end of September and which has the decision of the Council of July 26, 2010 as base. The relevant departments have published a list of 24 shipping lines, of which all depostits and economic resources directly or indirectly owned or held by them, are frozen. That list includes IRISL, HDS and SAPID Lines. On this measure an exception may be made in certain circumstances, to accommodate contracts that were concluded before July 27, 2010.
