Trade between Brazil and Arab nations grows 28%

Bilateral trade between Brazil and Arab countries registered an increase between the months January to July 2010 to 28% over the same period the previous year, totaling $ 10.14 billion in drives, according to official announcement of the CCAB (Chamber of Commerce Arab Brazilian) . The result accounts surplus of $ 2.15 billion to the national economy.

Although it said, exports reached $ 6.15 billion in the first half of this year, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2009. Imports also grew 45% in the first half of the year, totaling U.S. $ 4 billion.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt and UAE are shown as the main countries receiving Brazilian exports in the first seven months of 2010. In the previous year, moving these destinations increased by 41.2%, 10% and 6% respectively. Meanwhile, the Gulf countries account for 3.4% of exports, up 28% by analyzing the same period, between 2009 and 2010.

Analysis of CCAB indicates promising opportunities between trade in goods with an import index higher among Arabs than the world average, as food, construction and fashion, stating also that exports of gold, artifacts, jewelry and precious stones exceeded U.S. $ 148 million in the period.
