IACA news from Thailand
Embassy Freight (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. continue to develop their IACA ( Inbound Airfreight Co-Load Alliance ) programme. IACA was launched some 3 years ago which benefits Small and Medium sized Freight Forwarders / Customs Broker in Thailand, by giving them the opportunity to be competitive and retain / gain their customer base.
IACA has three services in to Thailand in Junction with EF Germany, EF Italy and EF U.K.
Each IACA member is able to enjoy the NET NET cost on each consol so they can hold and gain their market share, they are able to deal with each station in Europe directly to ensure the service is very smooth in order to relay shipment status to their customer.
In addition to this the accounting practice is kept very simple and beneficial to all concerned ( perhaps not the banks though ! ). Each IACA member enjoys a 30-day credit facility though Embassy Freight - Thailand and they in turn remit payment directly to each station in the programme.
The profit is shared 40% for the origin station and the IACA member, with the remaining 20% for EF Thailand.
Membership is free and apart from enjoying no exposure on exchange rates, each IACA member also enjoys the benefit of low local charges on arrival Bangkok.
