EU bans Iranian airfreight companies
The EU has banned Iranian airfreight companies from operating within its member states.The ban follows EU unilateral sanctions against nuclear shipments to Iran as it believes the material is part of Iran’s plans to build nuclear weapons. Iran denies this, saying it is for its nuclear energy programme.
The ban is in line with similar sanctions brought by the US above and beyond those approved sanctions voted for by the United Nations Security Council.
