ABSA announces new route between Sao Paulo and the Northeast

ABSA Cargo Airline starts operating in Recife and Fortaleza as from tomorrow, 22. The company will provide five flights a week from Tuesday to Saturday with a Boeing 767-300F, with capacity for up to 57 tons of cargo.

The flights will depart from the international airport in Sao Paulo, Guarulhos, at 4:30 am and arrive at 7:25 a.m. in Recife, and Fortaleza, at 9:35, returning to Sao Paulo to 23 hours.

This will be the second domestic route operated by the company since the company resumed its domestic flights last year, with the route-Manaus-Guarulhos Guarulhos.

Company management claims that the launch of the new section was stimulated by the success of the first domestic route and the growing demand for freight transport by air in the northeast of the country projections of growth in cargo handling at Port and Industrial Complex and Suape initial operation of the Abreu e Lima Refinery, scheduled for next year, are factors that make the ABSA believe increased local demand for new services.
